Tips for Growing Healthy Indoor Hydrangeas

  • They need plenty of light to keep blooming, but cannot tolerate the direct afternoon sun.
  • While they are in bloom, hydrangeas need an incredible amount of water. When they finish blooming, they need less, but they should never be allowed to dry out.
  • When actively growing and blooming, they will stay in the best condition if they are kept cool, around 50-60º
  • Dry air can cause wilting and damage. Keep them away from drafts and heat sources.
  • While they are actively growing and blooming, they should be fed every other week with a half-strength water-soluble fertilizer.
