Check for open days in February and March for a day out to enjoy. You may also find snowdrops in unexpected locations. I snapped these pictures in Haworth church Bronte land.

  1. I’d like to recommend Snowdrops at Hodsock Priory for your 2011 top 10 snowdrop gardens listing. It’s great value for money at just £5 per person and the gardens are spectacular. They feature in many top winter garden listings.

  2. How come Bank Hall in Bretherton is featured in the pic for the article but there isnt a mention of it in the top 10? i must say i have been and it is fantastic! Alot of hard work going into the place from their volunteers, well worth a visit!!

  3. See snowdrops growing in the wild at Snowdrop Valley! This remote valley near Wheddon Cross on Exmoor is a stunning carpet of white from thousands and thousands of snowdrops. The valley is open to the public from Saturday 31st January to to Sunday 1st March 2015.

It’s quite a steep walk down from Wheddon Cross, but if you want an easier way down there is a shuttle bus running on selected dates. For more info download the leaflet http://www.wheddoncross.org.uk/Leaflet%202015.pdf
