Some plants benefit from a damp sponge on the leaves.<\/li>\n<li>In the case of sick and infested plants disinfect\/steralise saucers and containers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Give Plants What They Need<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A rest may be all a plant needs if it been performing flowering miracles through summer<\/li>\n<li>Provide the right conditions to suit the type of plant.<\/li>\n<li>Do not over water or leave standing in water.<\/li>\n<li>Provide the right sort of soil for the plant. Special composts are now pre-formulated for Orchids, Cactus, acid lovers, Bonsai etc.<\/li>\n<li>Keep temperatures at a consistent and appropriate level.<\/li>\n<li>Give plants adequate light and avoid sun scorching<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>If All Else Fails<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Sick plants should be separated from healthy plants to avoid cross contamination<\/li>\n<li>Always wash your hands and tools after handling a sick plant.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a callous attitude to badly infested or diseased plants.
