The drooping clusters of small yellow flowers are produced in spring and early summer.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Describing Laburnum<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Laburnum trees produce yellow pea like flowers and pea shaped seed pods.<\/li>\n<li>These small ornamental trees are easy to cultivate and produce flowers in May &amp; June.<\/li>\n<li>The deciduous leaves are trifoliate usually dull green and slightly hairy.<\/li>\n<li>Laburnum watereri Vossii is this free flowering form with extra long racemes of flower. Alfords Weeping is a small vigorous tree with a wide spreading head.<\/li>\n<li>Common Laburnum Laburnum anagyroides can grow to 30 feet tall, Aureum is a golden leaved variety and Autumnale often flowers again in the autumn.<\/li>\n<li>Laburnum alpinum &#8216;Scottish Laburnum&#8217; is a small tree with fragrant flowers.<\/li>\n<li>Common laburnum vulgare\u00c2\u00a0 flowers earlier and has shorter racemes with the same pea shaped flowers but hairy pods.<\/li>\n<li>Laburnum also\u00c2\u00a0 has Erect and Pendulum varieties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a title=\"Racemes by brianpettinger, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/hortoris\/5804139955\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2077\/5804139955_2444856b7c.jpg\" alt=\"Flowers in May\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Growing Tips<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Below is a Llaburnum walk way that is many years old. Such decorative walks are replanted from cuttings but most Laburnums are propagated by seed.<\/li>\n<li>Plant your laburnum tree in full sun.
