This effect is created by long, pointed petals which tend to bend back; it can give the impression of a six pointed star.<\/p>\n<h3>Varieties of Lily Flowered Tulips Include<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ballade<\/li>\n<li>Ballerina<\/li>\n<li>Blom&#8217;s Harmonious Mixture<\/li>\n<li>China Pink<\/li>\n<li>Elegant Lady<\/li>\n<li>Fly Away<\/li>\n<li>Jane Packer<\/li>\n<li>Mariette<\/li>\n<li>Marilyn<\/li>\n<li>Marjolein<\/li>\n<li>Maytime<\/li>\n<li>Mona Lisa<\/li>\n<li>Moonlight Girl<\/li>\n<li>West Point<\/li>\n<li>White Triumphator<\/li>\n<li>Yuri Dolgorukiy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to Recognise Lily Flowered Tulips<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Lily tulips are all classed as Division 6 tulips.<\/li>\n<li>They are a small group of tulips, which used to be classified as Cottage Tulips with an hourglass shaped bloom.<\/li>\n<li>Lily-flowered tulips with their cinched-in waists and reflexed petals show their distinctive shape off best if not too closely crowded together.<\/li>\n<li>In style they are similar to the Ottoman or Turkish tulips of the 18th century.<\/li>\n<li>They are a beautiful race of tulips with lovely flowers and gracefully reflexing and pointed petals.<\/li>\n<li>The elegant blooms are born on strong wiry stems from mid April to May.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blomsbulbs.com\/products\/27-Autumn-2011\/72-Lily-Flowered-Tulip\">Bloms Bulbs<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"tulip pattern by brianpettinger, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/hortoris\/3903271486\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2431\/3903271486_ee7016459b.jpg\" alt=\"tulip pattern\" width=\"500\" height=\"493\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is hard to see what type of Tulip is showing in this photograph as the flowers are well blown!
