The light lemon green could have been a sign of magnesium deficiency but that turns out to be wishful thinking on my part. One variety partially effected last year is now in full denial and full of virus (its not just raspberry flu either.)<br \/>\nAs can be seen below full <strong>symptoms of my raspberry virus<\/strong> are obvious.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Browned off leaves<\/li>\n<li>Stunted cane growth<\/li>\n<li>Minimal fruiting and small berries to boot.<\/li>\n<li>Dead or dying plants getting ready to infect other near by plants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-20237 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/gardenerstips.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/pests-021-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gardenerstips.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/pests-021-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/gardenerstips.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/pests-021-200x150.jpg 200w, https:\/\/gardenerstips.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/pests-021-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gardenerstips.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/pests-021-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I originally planted 3 varieties at the same time from a fruit tree specialist. <strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u02dcGlen Moy\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 <\/strong>(Early season summer fruiting) &#8211; produced an abundance of firm, medium sized fruits from June to July on virtually spine-free canes, which made harvesting a pleasure (and jam eating ed.)<\/p>\n<p>Raspberry <strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u02dcGlen Ample\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 <\/strong>(Mid season summer fruiting) gave larger berries and some new canes a fair distance from the parent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tulameen<\/strong> was a wash out and most canes died. The supplier replaced them without any fuss but the cropping has remained below par.
