It provides inspiration for botanists, gardeners and the public with an array of 8000 plant species. As a university garden it has a resources for research and teaching based on a collection of living plants<span class=\"_Tgc _y9e\"> labelled with their<strong> botanical<\/strong> names.<\/span> CUBG is one of 1600 <a href=\"https:\/\/historicengland.org.uk\/listing\/what-is-designation\/registered-parks-and-gardens\/\">heritage-listed gardens<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 which are based on &#8216;designed&#8217; landscapes, rather than on planting or botanical importance.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea Physic Garden was established as the Apothecaries&#8217; Garden\u00c2\u00a0 in 1673<\/p>\n<p>Birmingham Botanical Gardens<\/p>\n<p>Durham University Botanic Garden plus other University led botanic gardens at Leicester and Bristol<\/p>\n<p>Ness Botanic Gardens<\/p>\n<p>Royal Botanic Gardens Kew<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield Botanic Garden has been restored\u00c2\u00a0 with\u00c2\u00a0 different garden areas with plants from all over the world, this 19-acre Gardenesque-style botanical garden is a diverse one to visit. As with other good botanic gardens it holds National Plant Collections in Sheffields case Weigela, Diervilla and Sarcococca.<\/p>\n<p>National Botanic Garden of Wales<\/p>\n<p>Belfast College Park, Botanic Avenue<\/p>\n<p>Jardim Bot\u00c3\u00a2nico, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil\u00c2\u00a0 contains exotic plants in a massive 137-hectare garden&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Singapore Botanic Gardens founded\u00c2\u00a0 in 1859 has Singapore&#8217;s\u00c2\u00a0 National Orchid Garden holding a collection of more than 1,000 species and 2,000 hybrids of orchids<\/p>\n<p>Other large cities have notable botanic gardens including Sidney, New York, Kirstenbosch, Padova, Munchen and Montreal.<\/p>\n<h4>Botanic Labeling<\/h4>\n<p><a title=\"cyclamen cilicium\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/tejvan\/5217308179\/in\/photostream\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/c1.staticflickr.com\/6\/5202\/5217308179_5e7d1da3c1_b.jpg\" alt=\"cyclamen cilicium\" width=\"459\" height=\"306\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Botanic label and specimen containing the\u00c2\u00a0 family name Myrsinaceae, or the myrsine family and origin S W Turkey.
