Phlox divaricata &#8216;Clouds of Perfume&#8217; is a woodland plant that also thrives in walls, borders or on banking. Versatile of what?<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Wild Phlox by winged photography, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/angelslens\/137897389\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/51\/137897389_18eba44f8e.jpg\" alt=\"Wild Phlox\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Facts about Phlox divaricata <\/strong><br \/>\nIt will grow 12&#8243; tall and spread as a cushion 24&#8243; wide.<br \/>\nThis Phlox is semi evergreen and likes well drained soil.<br \/>\nIt is also called wild phlox and grows as a weed in North America.<br \/>\nOther common names include Wild Sweet William,  Louisiana Phlox, and Blue Phlox.<br \/>\nThere are 67 species of annual and perennial Phlox according to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Phlox\">wikipedia<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Why I bought Phlox divaricata &#8216;Clouds of Perfume&#8217;<\/strong><br \/>\nThe flowers are powder blue, a cool shade I long to grow in my garden.<br \/>\nThe bonus of a mass of flowers giving out a good scent was a second incentive.<br \/>\nRegular readers will know I am mean (I prefer to say thrifty) and I paid \u00c2\u00a31.50 for a large pot that was in an end of season sale.
