{"id":14676,"date":"2012-11-03T02:58:09","date_gmt":"2012-11-03T09:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gardenerstips.co.uk\/blog\/?p=14676"},"modified":"2012-11-03T03:20:06","modified_gmt":"2012-11-03T10:20:06","slug":"novembers-backend-bonanza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gardenerstips.co.uk\/blog\/flowers\/novembers-backend-bonanza\/","title":{"rendered":"November&#8217;s Backend Bonanza"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Americans call it &#8216;Fall&#8217; and the Brits call it &#8216;Autumn&#8217; but November&#8217;s <strong>&#8216;Backend&#8217;<\/strong> can produce a garden Bonanza.<br \/>\nThese flowers are still showing their true colours despite all that our English weather has been able to throw at them.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"November Cyclamen by brianpettinger, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/hortoris\/8138302381\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8323\/8138302381_5fec31d9b9.jpg\" alt=\"November Cyclamen\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can tell the leaves know it is fall and the Cyclamen hederifolium know it is autumn and time to flower.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"November Fucshia by brianpettinger, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/hortoris\/8138336504\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8334\/8138336504_852f5e3bfc.jpg\" alt=\"November Fucshia\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dollar Princess was a group of Fucshias I received as cuttings. It took awhile for the flowers to arrive but the late profusion is very welcome.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"November Hydrangea by brianpettinger, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/hortoris\/8138302603\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8325\/8138302603_c066e6ffcd.jpg\" alt=\"November Hydrangea\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A bit over blown and beginning to loose their colour the Hydrangeas have enjoyed our wet season this year. The reward is going to be a winter windfall of flower.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"November Dahlia by brianpettinger, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/hortoris\/8138301957\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8047\/8138301957_66b5dcfa85.jpg\" alt=\"November Dahlia\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Dahlias have also been a stroke of luck, lasting very well without as much deadheading as they should have received.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"November Lobelia by brianpettinger, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/hortoris\/8138336152\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8047\/8138336152_8c1685682a.jpg\" alt=\"November Lobelia\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The annual Lobelia has surprised my with its deep blue colouring that has lasted all through summer.
