{"id":13838,"date":"2014-11-23T00:36:13","date_gmt":"2014-11-23T07:36:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gardenerstips.co.uk\/blog\/?p=13838"},"modified":"2020-05-19T20:19:15","modified_gmt":"2020-05-19T19:19:15","slug":"ready-primula-plants-for-next-spring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gardenerstips.co.uk\/blog\/gardening\/novice-gardeners\/ready-primula-plants-for-next-spring\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Ready&#8217; Primula Plants for  Spring"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is mid July and I have just placed an order for some colourful spring Primulas.<br \/>\nChoosing from a good selection at\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.awin1.com\/awclick.php?mid=1485&amp;id=81944\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jersey Plants Direct<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 I opted for Auriculas and Rosebud Primroses.\u00c2\u00a0 As an alternative I could have ordered\u00c2\u00a0 Polyanthus (primrose flowers on stems) or a wide range of self-coloured primroses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>What and Why Buy Now<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ordering now, the plants should be delivered in good time to be planted and settled whilst the soil is warm and getting damp.<\/li>\n<li>I do not do well growing these plants from seeds (which is very expensive) so I find the investment in plants well worthwhile.<\/li>\n<li>My supplier offers various sizes of seedlings from 160\u00c2\u00a0 plugs 4-8cm, &#8216;Ready&#8217; plants 6-10 cm, jumbo 7-11cm and super jumbo 8-12 in 5.7cm wide modules.
