Some you would want to shake your stick as they are ugly looking critters.<br \/>\nWeevils are part of the beetle superfamily Curculionoide but there are many related family members and thousands of species.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Families of Weevil<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Anthribidae \u00e2\u20ac\u201d fungus weevils can help make compost<\/li>\n<li>Attelabidae \u00e2\u20ac\u201d leaf rolling weevils include Rhynchites <\/li>\n<li>Belidae \u00e2\u20ac\u201d primitive weevils feed on dying plants or flowers<\/li>\n<li>Brentidae \u00e2\u20ac\u201d straight snout weevils<\/li>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<li>Bruchinae &#8211;  bean weevils or seed beetles are a subfamily <\/li>\n<li>Carids<\/li>\n<li>Curculionidae \u00e2\u20ac\u201d true weevils including the Boll Weevil<\/li>\n<li>Nemonychidae \u00e2\u20ac\u201d pine flower weevils<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Problem Weevils<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Grain and Rice weevils breed quickly and eat copious amounts of grain when infestations occur.<\/li>\n<li>Vine weevils nibble leaves but the grubs do serious damage.
