I am unable to find one either. I would be tempted to ‘rechristen’ a Yak or call it aka ‘Special Shirley’. You could also surround it with shirley poppies or settle for a Shirley Tomato sandwich every summer.

I too, am looking for a flower to plant in memory of my dear friend, Shirley, who died this year, far too young, and I felt sure there must be a rose named Shirley, but can’t find one.

Where can I find the other plants named Shirley?

Shirley poppies are bright and cheerful. The seeds are available from most garden centres and have the added bonus that they will self seed and stay in the ground for years popping up when they are exposed to light.
I can’t find a Rose or Rhododendron either but what is in a name? You can rechristen any plant and call it the ‘Shirley Special’. If you choose that route I would go for a small long lived tree or even a dwarf conifer.
